Yume-Utsutsu
We created a film for the theater in Miyagi Sant Juan Bautista Museum in Ishinomaki. The film shows the7 year history of the “Keicho mission to Europe,” including Hasekura Tsunenaga, who was ordered by Date Masamune, crossing three oceans to visit the Pope, in a 22-minute film. By combining 3 methods of expression (real images, computer graphics, and paper cut-outs), the film was designed to create an astonishing visual experience that is typical of the Lord Masamune, who was called “Date-mono”. Even 20 years later, the story is still fresh in the minds of local children and foreign tourists in Ishinomaki.
